Advantages of Upgrading Your AC Thermostat

There are many reasons a new thermostat can benefit your home, including:

  • Save on Running Costs - A digital thermostat is the easiest way to save on monthly utility costs. You can program it ahead of time, whether that be before you arrive home from work or prior to a long weekend away.
  • Control - You'll have complete control over your indoor comfort level. Our premier thermostats have high-definition displays and wireless AC controls, allowing you to change the settings with an easy-to-use remote.
  • More precise temperature control - Unlike outdated mercury thermostats, digital thermostats use electronic controls to pinpoint precise temperatures and performance. Our thermostats can also alert you if the equipment has a problem.

Zone Control Systems

Though centralized forced air systems are the country's most popular form of climate control, they have their limitations. The main issue is they only have two modes-on and off. Areas of your home that are drafty, have differences in sunlight exposure, insulation, and other factors, mean each space requires a different level of heating or cooling.

Zone Control Systems are designed to give you more control over which parts of your home receive heating and cooling. Dampers are installed into existing ductwork. They open and close, directing the air exactly where it's needed. A thermostat is installed in each zone and connects to your air conditioning system and the newly installed dampers. When your thermostat detects the need for heating or cooling, it opens the appropriate damper and adjusts as necessary.

  • Program themselves - Unlike regular thermostats that you set and forget, Nest Thermostats learn the habits of your home.
  • Remote control - Control your thermostat from anywhere there's an internet connection.

Our FAQ

  • What is the life expectancy of my unit?
Dependable Trane products are among the longest lasting heating and cooling products available. For your specific equipment, there are many variables that affect life expectancy, including, of course, the regularity of routine maintenance.
  • What does my warranty cover?
Under the standard factory warranty, Trane covers parts that fail during the warranty period due to defect in the part. The warranty does not cover labor. A warranty certificate was included with your homeowner information packet, and is specific to the model numbers, serial numbers and installation dates of your products. All Trane equipment that we install is registered with Trane Corporation to ensure your 10 year parts warranty. If you cannot find your warranty certificate, Climate Control Heating & Air will also be able to provide you with that information. With a Climate Control Heating & Air Total Comfort Plan, you'll have a ten year parts and labor warranty on your Trane equipment.
  • Which Trane equipment will best fit my home?
There are many factors that affect the sizing and specifications of your system, including square footage, insulation, window surface and configuration, geographic location of your home, duct sizing and arrangement, and many others. Climate Control Heating & Air can perform an in-home load analysis to determine which equipment combinations will perfectly suit your home and your family's needs. Depending upon the construction of your home, one (1) ton of air conditioning can cool anywhere from 300 to 800 square feet of home. The only way to ensure the size of the system you purchase will be large enough to heat or cool your home, but not any larger than you need, is to have your home's individual heating and cooling needs evaluated by a licensed professional.
  • Where can I get parts for my Trane equipment?
As a Trane dealer, Climate Control Heating & Air is the best resource for identifying and supplying the correct, current parts for your system, as well as pricing and availability.
